Company History

HSI Company History dates back to the formation of IESCO by founder Brian Shannon. The HSCAN Technology division within IESCO was separated into a separate company HSI, initially focused on bringing comprehensive services offerings to operators of Hydrogen and Syngas plants worldwide.

Since 2016, HSI has re-entered the full scope of Advanced Inspection and related Engineering services to clients both in North America and Globally.

From its corporate headquarters in Los Angeles, California, HSI prides itself on offering state of the art technology coupled with professional expertise in materials engineering and optimized field services.

Technology and Expertise… At-Your-Service

HSI is staffed by professional engineers and managers with a combined 300 + years in the inspection and related engineering areas. As of 2017 a total of eighty-five people are employed in inspection, data management, RBI and advanced NDE services. Key employees participate in industry committees and organizations such as; API, ASNT, AIChE and NACE.

Quality Statement

HSI is committed to the development and provision of the highest level of inspection, NDE, and related engineering services to industrial facilities and clients on a worldwide basis. There is total company commitment to provide customer satisfaction in accordance with the requirement of ISO 9000.

The company is committed to continual improvement with regard to its services. This commitment extends to continually improving the effectiveness of the Quality Management System, thus ensuring that we continually strive to achieve optimum quality, reliability, and efficiency. The company Quality Manual describes how the quality system is designed to ensure that all contractual and regulatory requirements are recognized, and that control of these requirements is maintained.

Our ability to meet the goals set out in the policy statement, as outlined above, will be reviewed by management and will be updated as necessary. The policy applies to all departments of HSI and all HSI companies and will be reviewed annually.

Environmental Policy

HSI provides Inspection, NDE, and related Engineering services to clients on a worldwide basis. These services assist in the long term safety and operation of industrial facilities and assets.

The management and employees of HSI are committed to the proper care of the environment and the prevention of pollution.

The organization ensures that all its activities are carried out in conformance with the relevant environmental legislation and other requirements relating to the environment which apply to HSI.

This policy and the obligations and responsibilities required by the environmental guidelines have been communicated to all employees and contractors working for the company.
